Legendary Snowboard Websites
OK people, quit fidgeting with your lift passes and pay attention. I know it's snowing somewhere in the world right now but I have summoned you here to ride the magical snowboard sites, newsletters and forums below. They are the best of the best. They will set you free.
Mountainzone
Outdoor and extreme sports enthusiasts place Mountainzone.com in their bookmarks’ top slot because the Web site leads the way in real-time adventures. Through audio and video, visitors experience a climb up Everest or a snowboard journey to the South Pole. Mountainzone’s snowboard section offers epic adventure diaries, top pro interviews, links to weather and cams, tour schedules, video and a marketplace.

P.S., You know you’re boss when you don’t have to incorporate dancing snowflakes and farting sounds at your Web site’s door to attract serious boarders.

Snowboarding-Online
It’s two, two, two snowboarding magazines in one. Transworld Snowboarding and Snowboard Life intertwine leashes to produce a slick, informative and fun Web site.

All the food groups are represented: weather, interviews, equipment reviews, photos, chat rooms and competition results. Daily news blurbs draw me in every day but they could be jazzed up a bit.

Circle Plus, aka women, have their own area. And the Board Genie can foresee your perfect snowboard … if your rub him hard enough.

Board-it
Out of touch travel agents with eager snowboarders barking out vacation needs might want to visit this detailed site out of the United Kingdom. Board-it.com offers a database of 780 worldwide destinations — searchable in 40 different ways and boasting all the vital statistics on lifts, piste and snow conditions.

Also check out the rider’s check list tapping into the knowledge of three-time world champion Kevin Delaney, The Board Room for hot talk and the Tricktionary database so you won’t be a "kook" on the slopes.

Board the World
Face it, Taos could take awhile to wake up. You might have to skip your goal to board every U.S. resort and take a stab at the snow overseas. Begin your world resort goal list at Board the World. The site gives an overview of each country then breaks down each resort in the country regarding terrain, weather, accommodations and nightlife.

The site could stop there and feel good about itself. But it doesn’t. Board the World offers magazine-style content with editorials, how-tos, tricks via video, adventure diaries, video streaming, product reviews, step-by-step trick tutorial and a photo gallery.

Snowboarding Newsletters/Discussion Groups
You've ripped through the terrain park, launched off outrageous jumps and conquered the splendor of the backcountry. Now it's swaggering time. The discussion group below is one of the best. I also threw in a couple of awesome newsletters to help keep your fire alive.
rec.skiing.snowboard
An offshoot of the skiing newsgroup, rec.skiing.snowboard is a one-stop shop for snowboarding advice, trading tips and tricks, spreading your knowledge and meeting other shredheads. Not a lot of randoms. I recommend accessing the newsgroup through http://www.deja.com/usenet
