Our Favorite Baby Boomers Websites
What is a Baby Boomer anyway? The common definition is that people born between 1946 and 1964 are considered "Baby Boomers." But, actually, if you were a senior in high school any year after 1961, then you can consider yourself in this group, because you are a "baby boomer" at heart!

Why is this generation so important? Well, mainly because they changed the way the world lived and thought. They took to the streets to protest everything from the Vietnam War to Civil Rights. They didn't stand by and live the way their parents and grandparents had always lived. They wanted things to be different.

Today, Baby Boomers are the largest segment of the population and they are the people who go to work everyday and make the world go round.

Two well-known Baby Boomers are the first "Baby Boomer" President, Bill Clinton, our current President George W. Bush and one of the richest men in the world, Bill Gates. Mainly though, Baby Boomers are the doctors, lawyers, businessmen and businesswomen, actors, policemen and policewomen, firemen, husbands, wives, parents, and yes, the grandparents of today. Soon, they will also be the retirees. They will still be different. No rocking chairs for them. They will remain active and informed -- and online.

Baby Boomer State-of-Mind
Baby Boomer HeadQuarters, the spot on the Net for true baby boomers... or baby boomers at heart. They have trivia, pictures, books, music, and memories of the most exciting decades of the century: the 50's, 60's and 70's. There is even an online registry where you can post your name and look for your classmates.

"Being a baby boomer is more a state of mind than a year of birth. So if you know that Paul McCartney was in another band before Wings, then we have a place for you here at BBHQ." That's what the host, Hershel Chicowitz says, and I agree with him. Go there to see what BBHQ is all about.

Baby Boomers Need Forums and Music!

Can We Talk? Of Course We Can!
The Baby Boomer Bistro was the first chat site in the UK developed specifically for the over 50s and offers chatters the chance to meet and make friends around the world. Via a variety of special virtual events, it also means that the voices of older people can be heard by politicians, decision makers and experts in many different fields. In the spirit of our generation, I think our chats should be international.
