Our Favorite Science for Kids Grades K-6 Websites
This realm is dedicated to my 7-year old daughter, Cipriana, and my 6-year old son, Nick, with whom I would like to share the world. This realm is also dedicated to all the parents out there who want to be involved in their children's education, but who cannot ever seem to find enough time for science. Hopefully, this realm will help out a little. Enjoy!
Quick Movies
I love this site! Young kids will get a kick out of using the computer and clicking on all the neat pictures. Not to mention, learning something along the way. Parents will start to get a good idea about what kinds of science interest their youngsters the most. Simply click on one of the 3 large buttons for Health Movies, Science Movies, or Technology Movies.

Feed the Animals
Your kids will love these 4 games that help them learn about animals. Click on the Zoboomafoo button. When they are done helping the baby elephant find his mother, they can watch how sneakers, wagons, and plates are made by clicking on the Trolley button. This is another good site for introducing kids to computers.

An Introduction to Science
This interactive site has games and activities together to give parents and children the chance to explore what science is all about. The science is centered around plants and animals. Be warned, parents. The kids will want to do these activities with you, so be prepared to spend some quality time with your youngsters. :)

The Body
One of the first things that kids learn is that they can control their hands. I have watched mine lie fascinated as they move their own hands around. This fascination quickly leads to questions about how their bodies work. With younger kids especially, showing them how it works is a whole lot easier than trying to explain it. Click on any one of the pictures to see that system, with labels to help identify each part. Click on "animations" underneath the pictures to watch the systems in action.
