Our Favorite Reducing Taxes Websites
If you think playing with taxes is fun... you're at the right place. Once I figured out that it's like a mystery game, and you win by finding the best clues, it got to be rather interesting. The prize? Aaahhh! That's up to you. It could be as little as a few hundred dollars... or if you follow the trail of clues diligently... it could be thousands of dollars. Whichever way you go... it will be the best hourly rate you've ever earned.

But there are two tricks here.

1) It's not enough to simply follow the clues - you also have to follow the instructions once you get there.

2) No cheating. There are enough legal tricks you can use; there's no need to break the law to win.

Got it? Good! So, let's get started playing detective.

Quicken.com
More tax calculators here that you won't find at US News Online. Pay no attention to the energy these folks put into selling you product... although, for personal use, this is my bookkeeping tool of choice. (For business use - my clients use QuickBooks, because it forgives your errors.) One great feature is that it will let you figure your taxes online. If you don't print the return - you don't have to pay. But, you can get an idea of where you stand before you prepare your own return, or go to your tax pro.
