Our Favorite Pay Per Click Advertising Websites
Decided it's time to look "beyond the banner" in promoting your web site? If so, here's another option.

When the Pay Per Click (PPC) model was pioneered by Goto.com (now Overture), the Internet advertising and search communities laughed. Today you'll find hundreds of sites and search engines employing GoTo's model. Internet marketers boast that it's controllable, measurable, and reasonably priced. Many online advertisers claim to be buying top placement and traffic for just pennies per click-through.

PayPerClickSearchEngines.com
Nathan Power, a self-described snooker player from down under, has put together one of the most definitive sites on Pay Per Click search engines. Check out his power-full reviews of the top 10 PPC sites including: Overture, FindWhat, and Sprinks. If you're like me, you'll also appreciate his directory of some 230 (and growing) other PPC Search Engines, links to articles and software, and free newsletter, Pay Per Click Search Engine Update.

Search Engine Watch's Slant on PPC
Touted search engine guru Danny Sullivan offers his own commentary on paid placement search engines at his widely respected site, SearchEngineWatch.com.

Sullivan unfortunately lumps in Pay Per Click arrangements with other forms of paid placement. However, he does do a nice job explaining in layman's terms significant ways advertisers can show up on search results pages besides using banner ads. Don't miss his chart of the top Search Engines for Placement, and an impressive list of links to related articles.

Pay Per Click Advertising Forums/Discussion Groups
Pay Per Click Advertising is a topic of regular discussion on all the top Internet marketing discussion lists. I was thrilled to find one below, however that limits its posts to just this topic.
Pay Per Click Forum
AssociatePrograms.com maintains a nice directory of affiliate programs, but what really gets me excited (I'm easily excited when it comes to this stuff) is the discussion board's special section just for Pay Per Click Search Engines. All users' posts are archived, and Alan Gardyne has included a keyword search option that easily helps me find answers to all those burning PPC questions. Useful whether you're looking at PPC advertising -- or a revenue-generating affiliate program.
