The Writing Parent's Favorite Websites
Writing parents are a special breed with hearts full of children and fingers full of words -- or is it fingers full of children and hearts full of words? Most likely, it's both. Welcome to my world! As a writing parent for nearly 34 years, I've reason to appreciate online resources. Shut your door, put the children to sleep, do whatever you need to do so you can spend some time with others whose hearts and fingers overflow. Meanwhile, I'll be out there looking for more great sites, zines and groups to share with you. (-:
MomWriters
The name tells it -- moms who write, writers who are moms. Plenty of information for dads or grandparents who write, too. For seasoned pros, the wannabe published or those who just love to write, MomWriters offers markets, columns, "Ask the Writer," interviews, chats, a discussion list and more. As it continues to grow, I believe this site will become even more valuable to parents who write. Plan to return often!

Robin's Nest
Robin's Nest for Writers is the single best resource for freelance writers I've found in my six years online. Want to know about courses? Markets? The business end of being a writer? Want to read some good writing? Robin's pages and links can point you in the right direction. In addition, there are links to sand castles, lighthouses and other subjects of possible interest to the parents and individuals we are.
