The Best in Modern Poetry!
One of the joys of experiencing poetry, for me, is the way a poet plays with language. I am constantly amazed by the feelings wrung from me after reading a favorite poet's work. Sometimes it seems a particular poem was written just for me, so close is it to my own experience.

We're Not Fooling...
In 1998, a group of people, young and old, famous and obscure, gathered to celebrate the joy of the spoken word at the Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival. "Fooling with Words" is an anthology of the poems and interviews shared during this celebration. Along with poems by the likes of Stanley Kunitz, Lucille Clifton, Galway Kinnell, and Robert Pinsky, the poets share their thoughts about the craft of poetry. In a series of interviews with Bill Moyers, one discovers how each poet makes their experiences into art. For teachers, there is a guide to using these poems in the classroom. For everyone, there is the realization that words can move people and change them... forever.
