The NetWits are a group of Internet humorists. Over 160 humor writers and cartoonists have gathered in an effort to end world grimness. It is sort of like a United Nations meeting during a nitrous oxide leak. The NetWits are now world-wide: Australia, United States, Canada, the U.K., New Zealand, India, Japan, the Netherlands, Botswana and yes, even Detroit.

Dave Barry - Plain and Simple, One of the Best!
When most people think "humor column," they think "Dave Barry." Actually, first they think, "Someone gets paid to write that?" and THEN they think "Dave Barry," but you get the idea.

Barry is a columnist with the Miami Herald, and is syndicated everywhere that prints words on paper. This is the official Miami Herald archive of about 100 or so of Barry's columns, including some recent ones.

Learn a Skill You'll Want to Use
The HumorWriting discussion list, delivered through eGroups, is a combination of two things: a place for humor writers to discuss humor writing, and a place for people who would like to become humor writers to learn about it from the people who already do it.

Put together by Chandra Clarke, a well-known humor columnist and author of a humor writing course at digitaledu.com, you might want to sign up and take a look. The volume of email isn't too high, but it's quality, not quantity.
