Georgette Heyer is a well loved writer of both Historical Romances and Crime Novels. Born in 1902, her first novel The Black Moth was published when she was 19. Her career saw a total of 51 books published before her death in 1974. Readers love her books for a variety of reasons - her characters are witty and lively and the plots are interesting to the point where you just can't put the book down.

If you've not read Georgette Heyer books, and you love Jane Austen, then try a Heyer historical romance. If you're an Agatha Christie fan, try a Heyer mystery. If you're looking for a light, enjoyable read, settle down with one of Georgette Heyers' books.
