Abebooks.com calls itself the "world's largest network of independent booksellers." It's not only one of the best sources for used books, its Collectors' Corner is a treasure house of information. Great Beginner's Article
Cookbook Collecting -- The American Homemaker's Number One Hobby. A very useful article from the Culinary Cyber-Sleuth. It gives you a bit of the history of cookbooks, then goes on to what's hot and what's not, where to look for books, and how to care for them. There is also a short list of books and newsletters for cookbook collectors.

A very detailed and informative chapter from How to Sell Books on the Internet. True, it's basically an ad for the book, but that's fairly common on the Internet. I love it when authors give away free information. And sometimes it's worth buying the book.
